| It was a cold and frosty December 23rd when my friends and I arrived at The Portman Hotel. We were a little unsure about how the evening was going to go with it being so cold, and given that perhaps people would be be saving their pennies for a big night out on Xmas Eve. However, having seen Jak the Lad several times over the last couple of years, we knew that musically at least, we were in for a treat. |

| The summer evenings are rapidly giving way to autumn and with a slight chill in the air Jak The Lad, complete with with colds and stomach complaints, came down to the Quay to help send off the summer with a fond farewell and in doing so put in a noteworthy performance. |

| Jak The Lad are becoming a firm favourite with the Mr. Kyps audience as an excellent support band and also as a headline act; remember they sold the place out not so long ago! |
