Kamil "Kam" Wojciechowski - lead / rhythm guitar and backing vocals JAK THE LAD are pleased to welcome their newest member Kamil "Kam" Wojciechowski. As you will have gathererd, Kam is not from "these 'ere parts", and is in fact from Szczecin in Poland. Kam has been recruited by the band in order to achieve three key objectives: (1) as a replacement for our esteemed colleague Johnny Wines, who has decided to leave the band to pursue new musical adventures, (2) to lower the average age of the band, and (3) to expand the band's already "huge international following" into the former Eastern Bloc! Kam started his musical journey at the age of 3 by singing some Russian Communist Party songs during the annual feast at the sewing factory where his Grandma used to work. A few years later Kam started to play tennis racket guitar with his 7 year old mates whilst listening to a tape-recorder and pretending to be in a rock band. By the age of 10 Kam's parents had bought him a new acoustic guitar and enrolled him at a local music school. In the early 1990's Kam joined his first rock band, but after 2 years the band split up because their drummer was drafted into the army for national service. However, Kam was determined to continue his musical career and at the age of 17, inspired by the UK funk and acid jazz scene, along with the keyboard player from his first band, he formed jazz funk band "For Sale". They were well known in Poland, performed on TV and won a prestigious national "Battle of The Bands" Competition. Kam played with "For Sale" for 6 years before forming a new rock'n'roll / punk band called "Brewery Szein" in 2002. Kam lists his guitar heroes as Andy Timmons, Gary Moore, Robben Ford, Angus Young and Nile Rodgers Kam and his wife emigrated to the UK in 2006, and live in Bournemouth. Guitars
